Steal This Simple Instagram Strategy To Increase Your Followers

Steal This Simple Instagram Strategy To Increase Your Followers

Instagram Strategy | Ryan Marketing Solutions | Ireland

You can either worry about things you can’t control and be miserable because of the latest Instagram changes or you can just focus on the things you can control. I think we all know that the Instagram’s algorithms sort of suck lately. The platform seems to be all over the place and growth is not just the way that it used to be. But do remember, it is actually still very much possible to grow on Instagram.

Even with all of the problems Instagram has right now it still is a pretty solid platform to build your brand.  Adapting with the platform is the only way to grow nowadays and actually some strategies require some refinements every once in a while, so let’s discuss different strategies to actively grow your Instagram with real followers and convert them into customers.

So, you know this train of posting content, throwing in a bunch of hashtags and hoping it will sort of blow up are long over. In fact,  these days we are responsible for the algorithm getting confused and messing everything up right now. Instagram obviously knows this is happening and in an attempt to save the platform they’ve sort of changed the game and you should change your strategy accordingly to that.

This is where the strategy of so-called content tree comes into play, which is basically a strategy to maximise your visibility using the algorithm while also fuelling your brand,  building customers with content that not always blows up but content actually builds those relationships and serves people in your target audience –  this is the secret thing activates the algorithm gates of hell.

How To Start

Firstly I would recommend, if you’ve been posting consistently for about three to four months without getting any traction, especially if your account is from pre-2020,  then I would start over from scratch. No matter how big your followers are it doesn’t help you anyway if you don’t reach them and if you actually swallow the hard pill and delete your old profile or you know just start from scratch you will see that this organic reach cap is sort of gone and growing outside of reels will be a lot easier again.

Now, whether who’ve started from scratch or just haven’t had a strategy before, the first step is to actually figure out which content type gets recommended in your niche. This is the content which will actually give you the eyeballs that you need, and believe it or not there’s some niches especially in certain demographics where reels are not performing at all yet and this is the interesting thing – photos and regular feed posts seem to be doing a bit better again according to my latest research. Therefore, maybe they’re tweaking around here which seems to be good especially with accounts that didn’t confuse the algorithm at some point.

The Cotton Tree Strategy

Now once you know which types of content are your performers, it’s time to craft the cotton tree. The first pillar obviously being content that gets you found and in 90 of the cases right now obviously it’s some sort of reel. Try post a reel 3 times per week – mix it up between a trend, and evergreen original content. Make it a priority to create reels, as that’s just how the game works right now.

If you want to actually grow your brand on Instagram, this is where the growth pillar comes in – regular posts like educational posts, photos or carousels, or just text posts are key. In the long term, this is where Instagram could have an advantage over Tik Tok. Due to its diversification and the new algorithm main purpose with these feed posts is actually not to get the maximum reach it’s actually to build a repertoire that people can binge your content on, other than reels.

So, if you can actually pull this off it will activate the algorithm floodgates for you and  everything will sort of start to fall into place – you’re going to see your content get recommended in the explore page, as the suggested post and you’re also going to see your reels getting more recommended. Ideally, regular feed posts are scattered all over the week, try aim for 3-5 times a week. Remember, don’t be mad if you don’t get the reach that you got with reels or get with reels, because these posts are actually here for the long run to get binged on.

A typical follower journey involves majority of people coming to your profile after seeing your reels and people typically need to see multiple reels to recognise you and to get you on their radar. We are talking about the rule of 7 here, and that’s why you want to increase the post frequency to the maximum amount. Then if you’ve done this process for some time and you’re on their radar, they’ll tab on your profile and see what else you got. This is where your regular posts should start to shine, because according to our research, the time people spent visiting your profile is the most valuable indicator for Instagram. This will boost your chances of getting recommended a lot especially if you get them off the sort of fast-paced reels feet and into a different rhythm.

Finally the leaves on the tree, including having regular stories (to connect with people and let them actually see the other side of you or your business) and having call- to -actions (CTA’s) to get more people to actually connect with you and getting them to hit the follow button. It is very important in terms of converting more of those eyeballs into followers which is by the way another trick to counter this whole algorithm issue. The more people you can get to convert into followers the more your profile will be labelled as high value high quality.

Get Creative

Now you know exactly how to create a simple Instagram marketing strategy that will wow your followers, grow your following, and boost your engagement. Don’t forget to get creative with the platform. If you’re prepared to get experimental and try new things, the opportunities to grow your brand via Instagram are endless.

5 Digital Marketing Tips for Small Businesses 2022

5 Digital Marketing Tips for Small Businesses 2022

Social Selling | Ryan Marketing Solutions | Ireland

Let’s say you just have started recently your business and you are very excited about things to happen. Everything is exactly how you have planned (central location, awesome products or services, etc) but you hardly get any customers in. Guess what? You’re not alone.

More than 20 percent of small, medium size businesses fail within the first year of existence. By the end of the second year, 30 percent of businesses will have failed. After 5years more than 50% have shut their doors.

This is due to different factors such as:

  • Inefficient Business Planning – before starting a business you should have a properly laid out business plan. This should include but not limited to management needs, competitor analysis, capital needs, marketing initiatives & budgets, opportunities and threats to your brand, clear purpose of your business, etc.
  • Poor management – In the first year of business the business owner is the only senior level within a company. Usually, the owner might be good at selling the product or service, accounting but he might have bad managerial skills. Overseeing other employees, looking after the marketing, hiring staff, financing is hard to do on your own therefore a dedicated person or team is required.
  • Financial Impediment – This is the primarily reason why businesses fail. Misunderstanding, mismanagement of business funds can quickly escalate and put owners into great difficulty. Every financial aspect of the business (rent, utilities, salaries, income, and vendor payments) has to be taken into consideration. Simply, you can’t spend more that you generate.

Below I am going to list 5 Digital marketing tips for small to medium sized businesses that will help increase brand awareness & reach, drive more sales and make your business more profitable.

#Tip No1 – Find out who and where your business customers are

If a start- up business this can be achieved through research on your competition.  Find out who are their customers, their interests, needs, expectations, behaviour.  Then ask yourself, what do I bring new to the market? How do I differentiate myself from them? Is my product or service better than theirs?

One way of doing competition research is by using Social Listening Tools such as Hootsuite, TweetReach, BuzzSumo, Sprout Social, Buffer, etc. It’s a laborious process and involves some skills. (That’s why Ryan Marketing Solutions is here for to help you).

If the business is already established you can use analytics to accurately determine who, where your customers are. Google’s, Bing,  Social Media native analytics tools can show you precisely how & when your customers interact with your content, what device they are using, conversion rates, engagement rate, etc.

#Tip No2- Build up your Social Media presence

Social media is the No1 tool that helps businesses boosts their online presence.

Did you know that there are over 3.5billion (keeps growing) active social media users, and every 6.4 seconds a new social media account has is created.

Did you know that every social media user has an average of 7.6 social media accounts? And they spend more than 145 minutes on social media every single day.

These are facts that cannot be ignored. If you want to drive awareness to your business brand there is no better way than building up your social media presence. Ideally you should do an audience research prior to creating those, to establish what channels your customers are using.

For example, 84% of digital marketers are targeting Millennials- GenY (born between 1980-2000) in their social media strategy, followed by Gen X –born between 1960- 1980 (52%), then Gen Z – born between 1997- 2012 at 22%.

There’s no right or wrong in choosing a social channel. Personally I would create channels on every social media platform available and choose to advertise my business products or services ONLY on those where my customers are.

#Tip No3 – Focus on creating unique, consistent, relevant content to your brand

There are many types of content that business owner can utilise in their digital marketing strategies. The most engaging content out there at the moment is video.

Recent conducted studies found that 54% of customers desire to see more video content from business or brand they’re interested in. Furthermore, 88% of video marketers are pleased with the ROI- Return of Investment of their video marketing accomplishment on the brand social media channels.

From above findings we can deduct that demand for video content is desirable by many consumers and there is high demand.

Video content gets more views, is more engaging and is by far the most preferred type of content. If you want to get up to 66% more qualified leads per year then focus on creating quality, original videos (Take a look at Ryanair channel on TikTok ).

To create video content might sound daunting but there are tools (free or paid) that can help you accomplish that. You can also use social media channels live video features to create content. However, producing a good quality video does not come cheap, and it might raise the cost of your digital marketing campaign.

Other type of content includes:

  • Infographics
  • Blogs
  • How To Guides
  • Live Chats
  • Photo Galleries
  • Whitepapers
  • Downloads
  • Q&A
  • Newsletters
  • Podcast
  • Gif’s
  • Images
  • Client Testimonials

As you can see there are a multitude of content types available to create. It’s up to the business management (marketer if they have one) to choose the most suitable type. As a general rule focus on creating unique, relevant to your brand content that keep your customers engaged.

Consistency is another element that you should be aware of. For example, you can’t just simply put a blog post out there and do nothing for the next 3 months. Search engines spiders (not that scary insect that you might think of) will avoid crawling your website if there is not any new content added. In time this will affect your SEO – Search Engine Optimisation rankings.

#Tip No4 – Use Search Engine & Social Media Advertising

“The advertisement is the heart and the soul of the commerce”.

If you’re just starting up or you’re an established business advertising can only bring benefits to your brand. Marketing can be divided into 2 main categories: Outbound Marketing & Inbound Marketing.

Outbound Marketing includes TV advertising, email marketing, Flyers, Brochures, magazines, posters, radio advertising, newspapers, etc. They tend to be less used nowadays because targeting customers is difficult, cost ineffective, ROI tracking is difficult or impossible, etc.

If you choose to advertise your business through such channels, be prepared for huge charges. Not saying that is not effective way but it will incur huge marketing costs.

In contrast choosing inbound marketing (content marketing, social media, email marketing) will help you reduce your marketing costs, get recognised sooner and build long term relationship with your customers. Maintaining relationships and building trust is the key element in any digital marketing campaign.

Advertising through social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) incurs high benefits because of its huge audience size. You can also choose your target audience (Do not go with the ad default options) and create personalised ads for each category of customers.

Also you’re in control of your spending as you choose the daily amount spent and how many days want your ads to run for.

If you opt out for Google’s PPC or Bing advertising (search or display) you’ll get almost instant results. But those results come at a price. If you’re just starting up I recommend hiring a digital marketer or marketing agency who knows how to properly configure those ads. You can’t just simply go with the default ads settings as your entire budget will be spent very fast.

As a general rule use Display & Social Media Advertising to increase brand reach and awareness or if you’re selling cheap products or services. Use Bing & Google PPC – Pay Per Click advertising only if you want to sell a premium product or service.

#Tip No5 – Use Influencer Marketing

This type of marketing is relatively new compared to social media marketing but is one of the in vogue digital marketing trends at the minute. If done right it can increase trust, credibility of your brand, increase ROI, awareness and get more conversions.

Did you know that 8 out of 10 consumers have made a purchase from an influencer’s suggestion? Or that 80% of Business to Consumers B2C businesses currently or intend to work with influencer marketing.

There’s no doubt that Influencer Marketing is profitable if done right. It won’t be cheap but with the right niche influencers your brand can grow to new highs.

As fresh social media platforms emerge (see TikTok, SnapChat or the new METAVERSE thing) there are more influencers marketing opportunities to avail of.

Need Inspiration? Have a look at your competition. Do they use an influencer to improve their brand awareness? Who is their brand ambassador? Or they didn’t. If not is an opportunity for you that you can’t miss.

Conclusion

Running a business in today’s market proves to be a huge challenge, especially if you’re just starting up. But with the right approach, mindset, skills you’ll succeed. A mix of social media, SEO, video & influencer marketing might be the key for unlocking your success.

There’s not a nailed template or path you should follow. Every business is different and addresses different markets. Try to be unique, transparent, and consistent in the type of content you create. Also adapt to the new trends, don’t get stuck in the past.

SEO Tips For Small Businesses 2022

SEO Tips For Small Businesses 2022

Social Selling | Ryan Marketing Solutions | Ireland

Are you a small business owner and noticed that your website does not appear in Google’s, Bing, organic searches? Want to increase the discoverability of your website pages? Looking for ways to address this issue? Then this blog post is for you.

Organic searches relates to any non paid search result from a search engine (Google, Bing, AOL, etc). It can take different shapes such as: video carrousels, featured snippets, top stories, and lines of text –“blue link” results.

They are very important because it represents the most effective way of driving high quality traffic to your website. Below I am going to list 10 Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) tips that will increase your rankings on search engines organic searches.

Create Video Content – Video represents the main source of information for 66% of the people. It has the highest engagement rates from all types of content out there.

Did you know that brands creating and using video content grow their company revenue by 49% faster, than the businesses that do not utilise it? Or that the video increases the chance of being listed on Google’s organic search results by 53 times (Forrester Research Study)?

Therefore, video should be the number 1 content type for your digital marketing campaigns. To create video content you can use tools like Biteable, Vimeo Creator, Animaker or use Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) native tools.

Use Internal Links Between Your Website Pages – This is part of on-page SEO optimisation. Creating links between your website pages, blog posts improves your website page rank in SERP (Search Engine Results Pages) and keeps visitors longer on your website. Increased page views translate into a lower bounce rate and higher engagement. These links can be added manually (if don’t know how we can help) or automatically, using plugins, in websites built with Content Management Systems (CMS). Fortunately, for your business, not many are using this method (or think is not important) so it represents a good opportunity for you to rank higher than your competitors in SERP.

Publish NEW Content Regularly – It is essential to create new content regularly for your social media channels or for your website. Google’s RankBrain algorithm plays an extremely important factor in search engine result pages SERP.

If your content (video, text, images, etc) is organised, engaging and captivates the user attention you have more chances to rank higher in searches than your competition.

According to experts User Experience (UX) is the primary determinant factor for optimising your SEO for RankBrain, Goggle’s AI algorithm.

When creating content you need to focus on some important aspects such as:

  • Voice Search – this is a very popular way of searching content by users. It is predicted that in 2022 more than 55% of households will own a voice search device. Innovations like Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri have come a long way and are used by a large chunk of the population.

As a tip when optimising for voice search use long keywords, phrases that user use every day. Try to create pages, blog posts that answer FAQ’s. For example use the following “Where,” “When,” “Why,” “How,” “Who,” “What,” in the titles of the page(s). They are extremely useful for voice searches. Voice search is on a continuous ascension, and ignoring this trend can cost your business a lot.

  • Content Quality – Google has stated numerous times that content quality is critical for search engine rankings. Extensive audience persona, search intent research is required in order to create quality content. As a rule focus on what your business audience prefers. Video is more appealing to the younger audience whereas text, graphics images is more suitable for more mature audience.
  • Long Form Content – According to SEMRUSH long form content will help improve your SERPs. Your blog posts should have more than 1200 words. It has to be structured in sections to be more scannable by readers.

Ensure your content is linked to reputable, authoritative sources with a high authority score (whenever possible). Also include sharing links above the main headline and after the last paragraph of the article. DON’T waffle, write quality content that will keep your readers engaged.

Optimise your images – this is a well known fact that image optimisation will improve your SEO. Images are used to give a better structure to your page content. They are an important part of the on-page Search Engine Optimisation.    In the near future users will be able to use images to obtain more information, purchase products and many more.

It well known that an image says a thousand words. They are useful for helping users understand and engage better with your written content. Also they are beneficial for breaking –up big chunks of text in your website blog posts or pages.  To optimise your images you should use the following:

  • Add ALT text to let search engines know what your image represents. Also important for screen reading tools to understand the appearance of your image.
  • Name correctly the file. Add a keyword or 2 in the name of the file.
  • Reduce the file size – use compression tools such as Jpeg Optimiser, tiny PNG or for advanced professional use Photoshop, save for web tool.
  • Add Image Captions – It is up to you if you’re using the caption field or not. But sometimes it can be used to add a description of the image, insert focus keyword, a joke or a personalised message.
  • Choose the right file type – As a rule use PNG for higher quality images or those that have transparent background or includes text. Use JPG or GIF’s for others. There’s another file format developed by Google, .webp. It helps reduce the size of the image without reducing the quality and make the web faster.
  • Add images to your sitemap – very useful for businesses that use imagery to showcase their products or services. By giving search engines (Google, Bing, AOL) clear information about your images you increase the probability of showing them in image searches. In turn this will improve your discoverability in SERP.

Focus on Local SEO – Local SEO is important and is continuously evolving. Almost everyone looks for products or services in a defined area or region.

Therefore, is necessary to add you business in all local online business directories. As a first step you should create a Google My Business and a Bing My Business Page. Here add your business location, contact details, opening hours, videos, images, etc.

Focusing on Local SEO is extremely useful as there is always less competition and your business has a much better chance of getting high rankings on local searches.

Wrapping Up

All you need to know about Social Commerce & Shoppable Posts

All you need to know about Social Commerce & Shoppable Posts

Social Selling | Ryan Marketing Solutions | Ireland

Have you come across products or services displayed on posts on Social Media channels and wondered what they are? Want to know how can you create these posts? Want to find more about it? Then check this blog post where we will cover all aspects of social commerce and shopable posts..

Simplified, social commerce allows consumers to buy a product or service directly from a social media channel. Basically, the discovery of the product, information about it and the checkout process takes place on the social media platform.

According to “Statista 2021” research shows that 11% of social media users make a purchase immediately after discovering a product or service. Furthermore, 8 in 10 US businesses anticipate selling on social media platforms within the next 3 years. These figures show that social commerce has exploded over the last years and a substantial amount of purchase is motivated by impulse buying.

In the early days of social media brands, businesses used social platforms (Facebook , Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter) only to post images or short videos about their products or services. Now, because of a plethora of social media native social commerce tools businesses, brand can sell their products or services directly on these social media channels. The customers does not have to leave the platform as they have the option to See it, Click it or Buy it the product or service.

Social commerce solves an issue that many buyers faced when trying to buy a product or service. Most of the times buying process takes time and involves clicking or leaving the social platform (going to an e-commerce website) in order to buy the item. Now, if a customer discovers a product or service on social media channels he/she no longer require leaving the platform.

At the moment social media platforms that offer social commerce services are:

In order to set up and use the native social commerce services in the above social media channels you have to switch to a professional profile. This is done during the installation or afterwards (is an easy process anyway). In Facebook this is done via your page settings.

You can sell almost anything on these platforms. However, some items such as digital products, weapons, alcohol, cigarettes, subscriptions, event tickets are prohibited. If you intend to use social commerce it is a good practice to check the merchant guidelines for the each social media channel network.

Facebook and Instagram Shopping  allows users to manually create a catalog of products or service or upload an existing catalogue from ecommerce platforms such as WooCommerce (WordPress e-commerce plugin), Shopify, BigCommerce or Magento(CMS).

At the moment TikTok Shopping is only available to Shopify merchants with a TikTok business account. TikTok Shopping allows the content creators to directly sell products and promote products or services on the platform.

As a tip when adding product images focus on image quality and style. Every product has to have at least 4 high resolution images and at least three attributes such as size, colour, and material.

Product description should include as many details as possible, use business phrases, keywords. Bear in mind that the product title should not have more than 34 characters. You could add business keywords in it too. You can add links in the product description too but at the minute they are not clickable. The general idea is that every field from the product or service catalogue should be populated.

TikTok Shopping is only granted for UK, US customers and for Canadian (only few companies) customers. This is expected to change in the near future.

Pinterest allows users to convert all entire product catalog into Rich Pins, all at once. Pinterest rich pins works by displaying metadata from marked up pages (product, shop) from your business, brand website. If you’re using Shopify for your online ecommerce store you don’t have to do any extra work as the products metadata is already by default.

It is proven that when businesses add Collections Ads Shopping  to their Pinterest mix, they see an increase of 3x the conversion and 2x the positive incremental return on ad spend (ROAS). Pretty awesome isn’t it?

According to the latest statistics buyers on Pinterest spend up to 40% more per month than shoppers on other social commerce platforms. Don’t have Pinterest set up? Let Ryan Marketing Solutions help you.

Did you know that on average viewers are watching over 700 million hours of YouTube content on TV daily? That’s why YouTube is enlarging the ways content creators can monetize their content(educational videos, entertaining videos, conversational streams, life blogs, playing games videos, etc), interact with viewers, and create new ideas for their social media own channels.

YouTube Shorts is getting new tools, features (video effects, ability to reply to comments, enhanced editing capabilities) in 2022.  YouTube Shopping (Shoppable Videos, Live Shopping) is going to be generally expanded on across the platform more widely. If your business sells products or services online YouTube Shopping is a tool that you can’t afford to miss.

Now, the question is how to convert your social media followers into customers. There is not a magic formula to do this. But if you integrate shoppable tags in your posts, allow UGC (User Generated Content), answer questions and offer interesting and valuable content the chances are that some of your followers will turn into customers.

Another way of turning followers into customers is to utilize influencers. But many of us don’t know how to find these influencers or do not know what they are.

An influencer is a person that has the potential to persuade potential buyers of a product or service by recommending or promoting the items on social media platforms. To find an influencer for your market niche you have to do hash tags searches, check your competition follower list, use Google searches or use influencer marketing tools such as BrandWatch, Awario, Brand24, etc.

If you researched and discovered influencers first step is to select the influencers with the highest engagement rate and big follower number. Some of them would require a payment for content creation, promotion and some would do this pro bono (challenge to find them nowadays).

The idea to use influencer marketing is that they have the power to bring customers to your business. For example, when an influencer uses shoppable tags on Instagram, they push the potential buyers to your shop.

Final Thoughts

We all know that social media is a very powerful tool at our disposal. It’s up to us to discover and utilise all of its features. This social media trend is still on the expansion (many new channels and feature), meaning you’ll want your business to jump on board as soon as possible so you don’t get left behind (can you afford that?).

If your business is looking for Digital Marketing, Marketing Strategies, Consulting & Coaching services don’t hesitate to contact Ryan Marketing Solutions. . If you find the information from this blog post useful please share it with your friends.

7 Tips To Drive Growth in Your Fitness Business in 2022

7 Tips To Drive Growth in Your Fitness Business in 2022

Since early March 2020 Irish fitness businesses have been forced to close their doors for almost 15 months (depending on their venue) due to Covid-19 restrictions. Because most gym, fitness clubs customers stayed home, high rents many fitness businesses have struggled to survive and some never reopened their doors (Hope you’re not in this category).

However, there’s good news as Gyms and Fitness Centers Industry is expected to recover from the economic disturbance. Below I am going to list 10 tips that hopefully will help your fitness business get more customers in and increase your brand trust and authority.

#Tip No1 – Have Strong Online Presence

Did you know that 97% of customers rely on the social media when researching for a product or service in the local area? To accomplish this you need to spread the word out there and be visible on your current or prospect customer social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook).

To keep them engaged you need to post content (text, images, videos,) regularly. You can use your own or curated content. It is also highly important to interact with your customers. Reply to their comments on social media posts, blog posts, and reviews. Show them that they are important to your business. In fact they are every business lifeline.

If you’re just starting up you can avail of the social media advertising benefits. Every social channel now allows you to easily promote your business at relatively low price (compared to Google’s or Bing PPC). Create engaging ads where your customers can see your latest offers and promotions.

#Tip No2 – Go One Step Further

Don’t stick with the basic training, fitness programs. Be flexible in your approach and offer different services. We know that most gym goers opt out for muscle building and weight loss. Offer them other services too, for example, nutritional advice or mental health counseling. I know you may say is not in your duty to offer those services or you’re not skilled to do that.

But you can easily bring once a month, a week a nutritional or mental health counseling expert for a meeting with your gym, fitness club members. That little step shows your customers that you care about them and it build your brand trust and reputation.

You can also print (inexpensive) flyers, brochures with information about services provided and other tips your customers might be interested in.

#Tip No3 – Be Active In The Community

One way of doing that is look for gatherings, events, challenges that takes place in your local area. Once you have identified those try to involve your brand, business into those.

Something like sponsorship (money, products) won’t break your bank but it will have a great impact on the perception of your business in the community. Show them that you’re not only there to charge a fee (for your membership) but to help them too.

This way you’ll increase brand awareness and build trust amongst the community.

#Tip No4 – Offer Online Virtual Classes

This is a great way to keep in touch with customers who travel or can’t come to your gym or fitness club location regularly. All big fitness centers have now free or paid online live or recorded fitness classes.

Social media is huge (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok ) and represent a great opportunity for your brand to increase reach, awareness and grow. Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Team, to name just a few allows you to connect with your customers from virtually anywhere in the world at anytime. The idea is to be flexible and to embrace all new technologies available at your disposal.

Another way to keep engaged with your customers is to build a fitness app. It might be costly but it worth. Statistics shows that millennial (born between 1981-1996) use fitness apps more than other age groups, with women using them twice as much as men.

#Tip No5 – Don’t Exclude Senior Customers

Baby Boomers (born between 1946- 1964) are one of the type of customers you should actively marketing for. I know, you will say that they don’t have the drive, energy as the young generation. But if your fitness business focuses on bringing senior through their doors you got yourself the most loyal customers.

Not to mention that this generation has all the available time and they got stable income to support themselves (don’t rely on family support to pay for membership). They enjoy socializing and they will always refer you to their friends if your business provides them a friendly environment and a great experience. If your business does not prospecting for this market segment you’re missing out.

#Tip No6 Diversify Class Offerings

Recently WHO – World Health Organization reported that more than 26% in men and 35% in women have insufficient levels of physical activities in urban areas.

90% of gym goers’ primary goal is to lose belly fat but not everyone fits this category. Try to be flexible, diversify the type of class offerings.

Adding classes like yoga, indoor cycling, strength conditioning, HIIT, CrossFit, Boxercise, Kangoo Jumps, Pilates not only will get you more customers but it will increase your brand loyalty and authority in the field.

Every customer has different needs. Try to anticipate those needs and offer a service for them.

#Tip No7 – Regularly Create Special Offers

Customers like to feel pampered. Things like first class free, unlimited classes for “X” amount, buy 1membership and  get 2nd half price, 1, or any type of incentive provides customers an impulse to step your business door.

Did you know that more than 12% of new gym members join in the month of January?

These types of offers will get your business more customers and then it’s up to your outstanding quality of service to keep them. The more customers steps your door the more chances you have to prosper.
